Dr Tin Nguyen graduated with First Class Honours from Monash Medical School in 2000. He finished in the top 5% of the year level, and was awarded a number of prizes during his undergraduate training. Dr Tin Nguyen completed his specialist Gastroenterology training at The Alfred and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. During this time, he was exposed to a wide spectrum of gastroenterological conditions and endoscopic procedures.

Subsequently, Dr Tin Nguyen was awarded a Gastroenterological Society of Australia research scholarship, and completed a two year postgraduate hepatology fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital and the prestigious Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory. He has numerous publications to his name, including original articles, reviews editorials, and book chapters.

Dr Tin Nguyen continues to maintain a broad range of interests in all areas of Gastroenterology including endoscopy, viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and functional bowel disorders.

Providing service to the community is a priority for Dr Tin Nguyen. He has served as the President of the Australian Vietnamese Health Professionals Society of Victoria.

Dr Tin Nguyen is a compassionate, meticulous and competent Gastroenterologist who aims to provide high quality patient care, and also to empower patients regarding their medical condition.

Dr Tin Nguyen is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Northern Health, and works privately in Bundoora and Doreen. He also speaks Vietnamese fluently.
