Dr Soleiman Kashkooli received his internal medicine training at Eastern Health in Melbourne, and completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at Concord Hospital in Sydney.

Dr Kashkooli undertook a year of fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) in Toronto, Canada where he was also involved with the management of colorectal anastomotic strictures using endoscopic balloon dilation. He has many publications in the area of his specialty. Dr Kashkooli has public hospital appointments where he is involved with training young doctors and medical students.

His special interests include:
– Inflammatory Bowel Disease, especially during pregnancy
– Colon Cancer Screening
– Diagnostic & Therapeutic Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy
– FMT (Faecal Microbiota Transplant)

Dr Soleiman Kashkooli enjoys treating patients across the broad spectrum of gastroenterological disorders such as liver disease, Coeliac disease, Gastro -Oesophageal Reflux Disease (GORD), Hepatitis B & C and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and is able to see urgent referrals, either for consult or directly for Gastroscopy/ Colonoscopy. He is also available for urgent reviews.

He holds a public appointment as the Head of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Unit at Northern Health, and works privately in Bundoora, Wantirna & Mitcham. Dr Kashkooli speaks Farsi (Persian) and Turkish.
